Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Liability for content
As a service provider we are responsible for our own content under general law (§ 7(1) DDG). Under §§ 8–10 DDG we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information. Once we become aware of an infringement we will remove the content promptly. Files you play are processed only by your browser; we do not receive them and have no knowledge of them.
Liability for links
This site links to external third-party websites (e.g. biuno.com, open-online.com) whose content we cannot influence. We accept no liability for it; the respective provider is always responsible.
Copyright
Content we created is subject to German copyright law. Included third-party software (including FFmpeg/libav.js, hls.js, dash.js) is licensed under its respective open-source licence.
Privacy notice
Controller
The controller under the GDPR is the provider named above, reachable at player-online@dittes.info.
Your files
Files you drop or open are played locally in your browser and are not sent to us or to third parties. Exception: if you open a network address (URL) yourself, your browser fetches it directly from that server.
Local storage
We use no cookies and no tracking. To work, the page stores settings (such as theme and volume), playback positions with file name, size and date, and a cache for offline use in your browser (localStorage, IndexedDB, Cache). This data does not leave your device and is required for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Hosting
This website is delivered via GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, the host processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address in server logs. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and efficient operation). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified. See GitHub’s privacy statement for details.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and the right to complain to a supervisory authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
